The late Abdel Aziz Al-Aqib Al-Khidr

Born in Al-Jereif, West of the Fifth District, 1952.

- He studied primary school in Al-Jereif and then at Al-Usta in Khartoum South.

- After the national exams and during the holidays, there was a famous nurses' strike in Khartoum hospitals. The government called for volunteers to work as nurses. He joined a group of young people from the Fifth District to care for patients and work with doctors in first aid at the Khartoum Eye Hospital, which helped him pursue this humanitarian profession.

- He joined union work and formed cooperative societies and scouting teams.

- He was a leader and pioneer in charitable and humanitarian work, gathering children and providing them with toys and cultural books.

- Through him, Al-Badri Al-Jarafi's house was rented out to serve as a library and childcare center.

- He established the Women's Union in Al-Juraif.

- He organized the Literature and Arts Association and built the Al-Khor Theater (an open theater) next to his home. He participated in neighborhood events and the Al-Muqrin Family Park.

- The Tea Club, which he established in members' homes, played an effective role in fostering bonds and brotherhood.

- He was a hard worker and a judge of people's needs, greatly influencing others.

- He was aware of mending broken hearts, relieving distress, and maintaining family ties.

- His home served as a conduit for those in need and a center for collecting and distributing clothing to those in need.

- He was a beacon for associations, literary and health caravans, and mobilization gatherings.

- He created and feigned joy, happiness, and delight among adults and children, earning him the nickname "Hajj Surur."

- He was an eloquent speaker with a broad literary culture. - He was a leader of dialogues, seminars, and conferences.

- He was the Secretary of the Sudanese Youth Union in Al-Juraif in 1969.

- He was a member of the Sudanese Theatre Union.

- He was the Secretary of the Cooperative Society in Al-Juraif in 1972.

- He was the Secretary of the Youth Associations in Al-Juraif in 1983.

- He was the Secretary of the Shubra Club in 1965.

- In Ramadan 1996, Abdel Aziz Al-Aqib departed this world for the eternal home, leaving behind a fragrant biography. May God have mercy on him and grant him a spacious place in Paradise.
